Cookie notice
This page explains what a cookie is, what this site stores, and how to refuse or remove it. It sits beside the privacy notice, which covers the planning file and the enquiry form.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. Browsers also offer other storage, such as localStorage, which stays on your device and is not sent to a server with every page. We use one optional cookie and one localStorage entry. Both exist only to remember your choice about this notice.
Essential and analytics
Essential cookies would be the ones required for a page to open or for a form to exist. This site does not set an essential cookie. Pages are ordinary documents. The enquiry form works without a cookie.
Analytics cookies would count visits and build a picture of how people move through a site. We do not set analytics cookies, and we do not embed an advertising or measurement service. Rejecting the notice does not turn any measurement on, and accepting it does not turn any measurement on either. The only thing Accept adds is the preference cookie below.
What we store
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| fv_consent | Preference cookie. Records that you pressed Accept, so the notice can stay closed. | 6 months | Focus Vertexway Financial Planning (first party) |
| focus-vertexway-consent | Browser storage (localStorage). Remembers Accept or Reject so the notice stays closed. Reject leaves fv_consent unset. | Until you clear site data for this browser | This browser, first party |
Third-party requests
The pages request typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore contacts Google’s font service, and Google receives the technical details that come with any such request, including an IP address. We do not add a Google analytics cookie, an advertising cookie, or a social-media cookie. If you block third-party requests in your browser, the pages still open in the typefaces already on your device.
We do not allow other websites to set cookies through this one.
How to choose, and how to remove a choice
On your first visit a notice offers Accept and Reject with equal room to press either. Accept writes both the localStorage entry and the fv_consent cookie. Reject writes only the localStorage entry and clears fv_consent if it was present. Either choice dismisses the notice and leaves the rest of the site usable: reading, the enquiry form, and the office telephone number all remain available.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The control is usually under privacy or site settings, where you can remove fv_consent and clear storage for focus-vertexway.click. After that, the notice appears again on the next visit.
If you disable them
Disabling cookies and site storage does not close any page and does not stop the enquiry form. You may see the notice on each new visit until a choice is stored again. Fonts may look plainer if you also block the Google Fonts request. Your planning file, if you have one, is unaffected by the cookie choice, because that file is kept at the office and not inside the cookie.
